This large machine-woven tapestry from France has been stretched like a canvas to create an instant, oversized piece of art. Judging from the weave, as well as the wear, our guess is that this piece maybe be from the 1940’s-50’s. It is marked on the back as being Made in France. There are areas of wear that have been patched (see photos) and some small stains. They are very hard to see amidst the strong pattern of the piece itself.
