A striking use of light, the single rose depicted in this late 1800’s painting absolutely glows on the canvas. Below, subtle detailing of a tablecloth, and a dark background give the piece amazing depth. The canvas is brittle due to age, and you can see areas where the paint has crackled a bit. We have placed it in a new custom frame to protect and enahnce the piece.
