A beautiful, subtle painting from British artist Leslie Kent (1890-1980). Known for his tonal land and seascapes, he graduated from Leeds University and studied painting under Fred Milner in St Ives from 1918–20. Exhibited widely at RA, NEAC, Goupil Gallery, RBA, ROI, RSA, at the Paris Salon and in the provinces. Undated, this piece is most likely from the 40’s – 50’s.
