Antique French ‘cul noir’ plate from the late 1700’s. This blue and white faience was in style among the wealthy of France during this period, and has become highly collectible. It was produced both in Rouen and Auxerre. This piece is in beautiful condition, no cracks, minor chips, and ready to be displayed. Because of the age of these pieces, we do not recommend using them for daily serving, but more as decorative additions to your kitchen or dining room.
